Privacy Policy

Platte River Hat Co. is a custom hat shop based in Columbine Valley, CO 80123. You can reach us at guide@priverhats.com or (720) 999-1180. This policy covers our website, pop-up stores, fundraiser stores, proposals, and invoices.

• Contact details you give us: name, email, phone, business or organization, and shipping address.
• Project details: artwork you upload, design notes, quantities, colors, and deadlines.
• Order information: what you bought, order totals, order status, and support messages.
• Account information if you create one: email, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), saved wishlists, and order history.
• Marketing preferences: whether you opted in to email or text promotions.
• Basic technical data: pages viewed, device and browser type, and cookies needed to keep your cart and session working.

We never see or store your full card number. Card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor. We only receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits for your receipt.

• To quote, design, produce, and ship your hats.
• To send order confirmations, proofs, proposals, invoices, and shipping updates.
• To answer support requests and resolve issues with an order.
• To run your account, wishlist, and order history if you create an account.
• To send promotions only if you opted in, including abandoned cart reminders tied to a cart you started.
• To protect against fraud, abuse, and duplicate use of one-time discount offers.

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed with service providers:

• Stripe for payment processing.
• Our email delivery provider for transactional and opted-in marketing email.
• Our hosting and database provider for storing site data and files you upload.
• Shipping carriers to deliver your order.
• Decoration and hat suppliers when your artwork must be produced or drop-shipped.

We may also disclose information when required by law.

Artwork you send us is used to produce your order and to show you proofs. We may display finished work in our portfolio or marketing unless you tell us not to. Email us and we will remove it.

Order, invoice, and tax records are kept as long as required for accounting and warranty purposes, generally seven years. Quote requests, proposals, and support messages are kept while your project is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

• Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in any promotional message.
• Reply STOP to any promotional text to stop text messages.
• Ask us for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing guide@priverhats.com.
• Colorado residents have rights under the Colorado Privacy Act, including access, correction, deletion, and opting out of targeted advertising. We honor these requests for everyone, wherever you live.

Transactional messages about an order you placed are not marketing and will still be sent.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls. Admin accounts require a second factor. No system is perfect, so please use a strong, unique password for your account.

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Fundraiser orders for youth teams should be placed by a parent, coach, or organizer.

If we update this policy, we will change the effective date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
